Programme covers

is there any page on the web like the one for shirts? If not could some kind soul that has many old progs make one make one?

My fav was the white cover with a lion on it, about 78 i think

My favourite one is a Watford - Reading programme from the late 70's which i've got stored in the attic somewhere. It's got Elton directly behind a hornet with a dirty smile on his face.

I think you can work out what i'm thinking.

Here are all the different styles since 1964 - I don't have any older than that.

My favourite is 1989(a), simply because the cover photo is of Elm Park - even if it does look really shabby. And to think that we moan about the state of the pitch today. There wasn't even any rugby to blame it on back then.

I also like the cartoon style of 1983.

Great list.
The '72 programme is the first one I recall, but I'm sure I have in the attic versions that are red/Pink or even green.

Yes, that programme did vary in colour week to week. In the 72/73 season there were blue, orange and green. However, the following season there were only blue and orange (I think)
