Traffic Wardens, Again

by The 17 Bus » 17 Mar 2008 07:59

well a nice 23k crowd at The Madstad yesterday, as usual cars illegally parked all about the place, about a dozen on the clearway outside the Jaguar Showroom, and as usual not one of them were ticketed by the nasty little small minded men that seem to target the football matches.

Who ever is in charge of parking enforcement in Reading really needs to come out and explain why this is.

They do now parking offences are decriminalised and parking enforcement is the responsibility of local authorities.

However, it would appear that whoever runs them in Reading might come from a rugby background!

There are usually cars parked on the pavement and grass verges in Acre Road usually without any tickets. At the Villa game (a Sunday) they were all ticketed.

I believe that's the excuse that RBC used when they washed their hands about the travellers being encamped there.

Even they can't have it both ways, so it's probably worth appealing if you get a ticket for parking on that bit of land.
