loss of seats

by jonboy29red » 18 Feb 2012 07:18

I received a letter from the club yesterday saying that all the seats by the tunnel near the away end from next season if we remain in the championship will be not be used next season on police advice because of as they put it incidents of supporters moving in to the seats and causing a problem ranging from coin throwing to threats, why should we lose our seats why not move the away fans over a bit more and fill up from the west stand end over to wards the east

Sensible move by the club, should have happened a long time ago. Some that are not involved in anything untoward will feel agrieved, as you do, but overall it could make for a better atmosphere, sadly a few seem to forget there is actually a game going on in front of them.

I don't know why they're not netted when not in use.

Still, no loss.

The seats on our side are netted. As this policy seems to be in place anyhow it is just a case of effective controlling of the 5 year olds who posture towards the home support.
