Not just an Indian - lots of food choices there.

Bangladeshi? Sri Lankan?

The current trend among curry fans is Nepalese food. Great stuff. There's some crossover with Chinese cuisine.

Yeah! I had a vindaloo. My fellow fans doubted my ability but, having the constitution of an ox I devoured the dish without consequence. I'm hard like that.

Whomever suggested The Vine, hats off to you as it was perfect.

Great place. Despite being very busy- the bar staff coped well and only roughly 5 mins for a beer.

£2.80 for ale

about £5 for curry

Wallet friendly away day given the reasonable WBA ticket price and train ticket deals.

Get there early and have lunch in this friendly pub which serves the most wonderful Indian food from a room at the back of the pub. In fact, forget the match and stay here all afternoon!

Glad you enjoyed it! It was particularly nice out the back in the cement garden in the sun.

Had a refurb of the back bit since i was there last. Bit easier to move around and they seem to be serving the kebabs a bit quicker now.

Agreed.

The area around the Mad Stad could do with somewhere like the Vine for match days

Was far too busy. Was expecting a nice quiet relaxed pub.

A stones throw from a Premier League football match, I fear that might be too much to ask.

The balance was spot on. Alice In Wonderland pub experience.

That's the last time we'll see Wizard in a pub pre match then.
