moo They let you drink on the bus from Reading Station to Madejski.

I think they don't actually take steps to prevent it, which is something quite different.

I've definitely seen them confiscate cans in the past

SLAMMED What if it was on a vehicle seating more than 7 that happens to be stopping near a football ground?

It would be up to the police and then the CPS. If they deemed you were on your way to a sporting event they can potentially do you.

And yes this law does also apply to "football special " buses going to the Madejski but would not apply to a service bus going up the basingstoke road.

As a support we are somewhat fortunate the police seldom (if ever) stop and check our buses.

The best way to sort this is to hire a fleet of 7 seater vehicles - then you can all get drunk and not get done for it, apparently. Except the driver, he could get done.

Is there likely to be a toilet on the coach?

Apparently the coaches won't be stopping. I'm genuinely concerned I'm gonna wet myself.

Don't worry - just don't sit in the same seat on the way back.

Discussion on the bus back to Farnborough on Saturday about this. Apparently this situation occurred on the STAR bus back from Cardiff and the driver wan't allowed to stop for some reason. The bloke had a crafty pee in a wastebin in the end.

Not one of those mesh ones I hope?!

Ferris - bring a hat and pee in that, just don't wear it again afterwards.

Take a bottle, like I suggested.

Pretend you're going to be sick, they'll have to stop for you then. Get run run run gilksey to drive you up there. Or something.

Jester's hat would give you several opportunities, too.

Drivers must be aiming to storm up the motorway then, pretty sure they have to stop after four hours. Any sort of traffic jam or something like that could see that plan a bit screwed.
