Geekins There were 2 women in the south/west divide that celebrated their goal. when hunt scored, i celebrated my turning round towards them and just shouting random chants and Hunts name over and over again.

At the final whistle i just cheered and shouted at them. funnily enough they on purposly ignored me and just clapped the Sunderland players. If they would've looked at me, then i probably would've shut up and turned around.

Gets back all the sunderland fans who jeered me when we lost up there a few season back 2-0 and when Dillon was caretaker manager.

You see, this is what opposition fans in home ends 'deserve'. Good-natured mocking and joyful celebration of home goals and victories.

LOL @ anyone who thinks fans deserve punching.

Sharpy things got a tad heated up at the top of y25 again yesterday after sunderland scored. reading fan with a sunderland supporting mate i believe, someone took exception and twatted his mate. reading fan stodd up for his mate and squared upto the bloke who hit his mate. everyone up on their feet around and people all over the shop shouting "get the twat out etc". the reading fan who brought his mate along by this time is mightly cheesed off and tries to climb up 5 rows of seats to have a row with some blokes near me.

reading fans fighting reading fans....scum

sort it out lads

Stooper
bobby1413 I've brought my friend who supports Liverpool to the home match against them last season, and the away match last season, both in the Reading end. No trouble, very quiet, didn't celebrate any goals.

Why is it only football that has this problem?

I've been to plenty of RL grounds up and down the country and been perfectly welcome to stand in the home end and celebrate when my lot score. Never had an ounce of trouble. Normally leads to banter and a good laugh.

Maybe football fans should just grow up and realise that it's only a game.

Whether the bloke next to me is wearing a Reading, Sunderland or Histon shirt shouldn't make the slightest bit of difference.

Which is as it was pre-segregation. Good old days (except when Millwall came to EP and took over the clock area in the South bank).

The whole atmosphere around football supporters is rivalry, chanting and a real "group" culture.

I don't know of any other sports where it is as strong and as naturally segregated as football.

You should try it some time. An atmosphere to send shivers down the spine of the hardest of hardcore 70s hooligan.

(Remember folks, for every hooligan we ban, we gain a family of four).
