In all honesty this is where I wish it was possible to give the away side more tickets.

This could be embarrassing if only 10,000 - 12,000 RFC fans decide to turn up.

Emabarrasing is when only 8,000 reading fans turn-up, opposite 4,000 Bristol rovers fans and we lose 0-6.

4th round:

Derby vs Doncaster 11,316
Cardiff vs Leicester 10,961
Wigan vs Notts Co (replay) 5,519
Portsmouth vs Sunderland 10,315
Crystal Palace vs Wolves (replay) 10,282

Small attendances at cup games these days are more the norm than the exception. 10-12,000 would not be embarrassing.

None of those attendences you referenced included 4,000 away fans!!

But many are well under half the average home figure, esp Derby.

I take your point but I imagine Leicester would have taken about 2,000 (leaving Cardiff with 9K home fans), Sunderland 3K(?) (7K Portsmouth) and Wolves also 3K (Palace 7K approx). Christ knows how many Notts County fans went because it probably means one man and his dog supporting Wigan!!!

We had 12000 of our own fans for a game v Burnley. Do you have any particular reason to believe 4000 to 6000 of those will stay away for a 5th round tie?

Great!! This means both Reading and Derby win their 5th round matches and I have a bet on both teams.

good news - 3 wins out of 3 should give people a bit of optimism that we at least won;t get battered. (Although can't see us winning in any way, shape or form...)

I see West Brom have announced reduced ticket prices for next wednesday for home fans so guess ours will be similar, £15 for season ticket holders and £20 for non.. We'll probably get charged a flat £20 which may tempt me.
