biff New announcer is apparently on the mic at the Basingstoke Bisons, hence the absolute sh1tshow regarding "in the 7 jersey" b0ll0cks.

Republica, 2001 space odyssey, Kevin girdler, or phuck off you hospital radio cretins.
Lux Aeterna (requim for a dream) with the 106 season video please..... few of them are still around playing for rivals so bring it back, let us see Sonko soaring above 5 players to head the ball in and Bobby Convey destroying Millwall with that run from his own half etc etc.

The announcer being overly charistmatic and enthusiastic is another piece of the puzzle in our efforts to become a 100% family club, which seems to mean doing a bunch of bullshit during the "matchday experience" to pander towards under-9's to get them to the game (the irony being the local kids support teams like Man United and don't give a shit). Other examples being Queensly, The Family Zone, Those stupid jester hats on sale before the playoff final and others

My 9-year-old son supports Reading - and what would enhance his match day experience is better football and Reading scoring goals and winning. He couldn't care less about Kingsley or Queensley.

my 5 year old godson oxf*rd loves kingsley and queenslie, and the fun zone.

any proper grown up fan will just walk past all this shit and ignore it on the way to the bar, cos its not really for them.

the PA announcer however is impossible to ignore and should be shot

Bit harsh, unless it's some form of half time entertainment in which a random fan gets to throw various projectiles at the PA guy for the chance to win a megastore voucher, Reading FC garden gnome or a fridge full of Carabao - different prizes according to what projectiles they choose to hurl.

A bit of old carpet and a 5-a-side goal.

A scaled down version of the fun house kind of thing?

Pat Sharp's had a haircut and there's only one twin or something.

Half and half scarves too  and don't get me started on the annoying kids in the north stand that count down from ten seconds when it appears on the big screen and wearing other team's kit. And it's not just in the north stand, saw some kid in Y25 wearing a full Bayern Munich kit the other day

I hate that kids decide to support Barca, Real, Bayern etc, it's bad enough supporting the biggest club in England when you'll never see them but it's even more true with these foreign teams.

I say that as a guy who supported Man Utd until I was taken to my first Reading game, a dull 0-0 draw against Brighton in 2002, somehow I'm still a Reading fan to this day.

As for the kids who count down from 10 at the end of each half, yeah it's pretty annoying but I suppose they're getting into the game.

I think it's fair to assume that children don't have the emotional or intellectual maturity to warrant abuse for their choice of team clothing :|

Honestly, it's painful listening to that utter waffle on the mic just before kick-off. #readingfc

It's dreadful but it isn't going to change when the east stand eats out of his hand every game...

At least there was no siren tonight and the ref started the game before the tannoy bloke could put on that stupid sweet caroline rubbish

Can we go 2-0 every game so when we pull it back to 2-1 no goal music is played?
