Smoking Kills Dancing Doe Tbf I did notice Juve using some awsome, slow, full band version of the Final Countdown after each goal they banged in against Fulham.

The darts music is a total joke. It's just another kick in the balls for proper football fans, same all over the country.

when i went and saw Juventus v Catania in December they also had some cringe worthy kareoke shit before the game...

tink I know that as football fans go, reading aren't necessarily the loudest and most passionate bunch of supporters as a whole, but do we really need music to "enhance" our celebrations.

this is not unique to reading, this all part of todays football experience around Europe, big clubs, small clubs, medium sized clubs.

some people enjoy the music, I know of at least one major british club that uses different music for each player, they play the music of the player that scores

Some Mendelsshon wouldn't go amiss now and again. Calm things down a bit, serene things out a little.

Too much frenzy at football matches these days.

Or some Bruckner.

its simple...just.....

Drop the goddamned music!

There will be no bitching about who/what it should be

There will just be the sweet sound of Reading fans celebrating a Reading goal

the happy clappy dying ant "arms in the air" thing has long since had its day

He probably didn't know who'd scored at the time like me. Much, much better though!

I don't think any of us missed it, though i am going to put a formal complaint into the club. We need more parrot fashion control of the masses.

Some clubs (IIRC Palace?) do not play music but the announcer gives the first name of the goal scorer and the crowd respond wth the surname which I recall happens twice...... This always seems to get a very good crowd reaction.(It also informs the people who cant see who scored in a goal mouth scramble, plastics who dont know the players names or are just not PAYING ATTENTION!!!!)

I can only see one problem with our existing players, if Zurab scored how many would would get his name right???

If we must have music could we let B McD choose it as he seems to be getting most things right !!!!!!

(PS Can anyone tell me what title of the music played just before the kick off is?)

If Gylfi scores play "Ice Ice Baby"
If Long scores play "When Irish Eyes are Smiling"
If Church scores play "Men of Harlech"
If Kebe scores play the Can Can
If McAnuff scores play the Hallelujah chorus

etc.

Tbh, if I heard this, I would laugh my arse off!

And my word, 30 seconds of music which is miles quiter than it used to be can annoy some people!

If you don't like it, cheer/abuse away fans/shout/sing louder straight after a goal so it's drowned out. 8)
