Forbury Lion STAR should write the catering off as a lost cause and look to get the rules relaxed for fans wishing to bring their own drinks into the game..... currently bottles with tops are not permitted, so everyone takes the top off and puts it back on once inside. I believe this is to stop bottles with tops on being used as weopons but I maintain that I would rather be hit on the head with a bottle full of piss that has the lid screwed on than a bottle with no lid!

STAR should also get gaurantees that fans will be allowed to bring food and drink in (albeit in topless bottles) for the long term and not have the right removed in the same way that pubs and other eating outlets prevent you from eating anything not bought on site.

The reason the lids have to be removed is a safety issue as standing on an empty bottle with no lid the bottle will collapse, if the lid is on bottle will not crush and becomes a "banna-skin" especially in event of an evacuation

Anyone using the Mad catering facilities has either more money than sense or no taste buds to speak of. Let Kens Kebabs of Portsmouth Ltd into the arena to improve the situation.

NWL Royal While we're at it, why don't we have some tables/chairs and waitors (and or/ waitresses) in the concourse

That would never work. It may be better, if you had some sort of ticket system, like at doctors surgeries. So, your sitting in the east stand, and you grab a ticket, say number 214. Then when it's read out, you stand up, a waiter comes over, and you say "one pint please". Much more effecient, and it would probably keep the concourse clear.

Stand up..?! Ur not allowed to stand out for a moment of excitement never mind stand up to be served a beer!

its nothing to do wiith weapons

its a health and safety issue

without the lid it will collapse if trod on

with the lid on it will roll causing the person standing on it to fall and infure themselves
Why don't they explain this then, It makes some sense now.

Presumably a Thermos Flask won't collapse either?

A proper queueing system is what's required before things get dangerous.

The British love to queue, they just need some guidance so perhaps painting zig zag lines on the concourse like at a Bank queue will help them queue in a space effective manner along the concourse?

Neither will one of those concrete rolls that they put the disgusting sausages in!

I would guess most ppl take the flask away again, rather than toss it away.

Fair enough, So if I was to take a bottle flask of drink that would be acceptable even if it had a screw top? If there was a stampede I wouldn't hang around to pick it up.

What about bannana skins? Should they ban bannanas? or do people only slip up on them in cartoons?
