Town Centre Club Shop

by Coppelled Streets » 16 Apr 2007 01:16

I know the football club had a little trial with that pokey little shop. The same shop that was put in a place where many wouldn't know it was there and so on, but isn't this Premiership club missing out here?

A nice big RFC super store in Broad Street or the 'orrible would be just the ticket!
Yes it'd cost, but if there isn't a demand for it now, there never will be.

Easier ticket purchasing for many, kids walk buy with mum and nag her to have a 'little look'.........

Does this get your vote?

I think they were looking at something before Boyd left and like a lot of Boyd's ideas it's 'on the shelf'.

No chance it would be in a prime location - total waste of money !

I'd have though West Street or such like would be OK but there is no need for a ticket outlet at the moment and they are probably at saturation point for shirts.

When the stadium has 20,000 match day tickets to sell you could see a need for it but until then I can;t see it being much of a priority.

Don't think there's much call for it at the moment. For now, for the most part, the only people likely to buy RFC merchandise are those who go to matches, and they can visit the existing shop.

In the grand scheme of things Reading are still a very small club. Once there's enough interest that the Reading population as a whole really take the team to its heart then I think it might be worth it, but until we've spent a few seasons in the Premiership I think the interest will be little more than passing.
