Villa tickets

by lozz2601 » 27 Jul 2008 17:27

Do these get posted, or loaded onto member cards?
Because I just bought three on the same Customer Number, so I'm hoping it's the former....

I'm a bit confused about this too.

I thought we were getting tickets for it, but so far I only have a ticket for my son, who is a junior member. Nothing yet for me (I have a season ticket) or my daughter, who isn't a member. The confirmation email says:

Thank you for purchasing tickets for the Reading v Aston Villa game. Please be aware you WILL NOT receive any match tickets - your tickets wil be loaded onto your Member Card.

I think I will have to give them another ring.

Also, will the matchday carparks/bus be running on that day?

In case you were wondering, the posted ticket is for my daughter, who isn't a member. The others have been loaded onto our cards.

The buses are running for this game according to the OS.

Well I'm totally flummoxed now!

- ordered on-line for my mate - (I can't go, wife has inconsiderately decided to pursue her 'hobby' and b&gger off sailing for a week!) - spoke to him earlier in the week to check he wanted to go and he said his ST renewal form got 'screwed up' by the TO - who phoned him and claimed they had no record of his previous membership! They've now sent him a new ST.

Anywho decided to proceed with the purchase for him and everything went OK on-line - his ST details were still working OK on the Family/Friends bit - got the usual e-mail comfirmation with :-

All seats marked with a (*) will be place on your membership card and
no paper tickets will be sent

.... and lo in this mornings' post , 1 ticket for Villa turns up at MY address. - normally any tickets issued in the past have gone direct to him

What concerns me is that the foul-up on his ST ticket applic appears to mean he had to pay the full amount for a new one cos [QUOTE from TO] HE'D missed the deadline for cheap renewals

- haven't checked back with him yet to see if he's even got the same seat/card number as last season.

As was said elsewhere the ST guide for 08/09 stated new ST cards will not be issued for renewals - which I was OK with until I stumbled into this little 'difficulty'.

May have to 'badger' the TO to check my ST and my lad's are OK. :?
