by Deathy » 03 Jan 2009 19:16

This should be avoided at all costs. I hate it when, 3 minutes from the end, someone who's stupid enough to have paid £100 for a ticket and a prawn cocktail decides that the shittest player on the pitch is MOTM when there's still time for them to smash one into his own net.

I think they should announce it while everyone is dancing to Tom Hark.

Best avoided. Had the misfortune of spending some time in a corporate at the Mad Stad a couple of times and listened to the "amusing" ideas for who should be the nominated MOTM.

Why bother with MOTM at all really. (except for the corporate back slapping i don't think this really serves a purpose).

Financial only. A small amount for announcing the MOTM as sponsored by... Other than that, agree.

Probably why MOTM isn't chosen by anyone in Corporate anymore. Instead it's down to a panel of experts almost certainly comprising of Royalee, Sarah Star and bishbosh92.

I loathe and despise all corporate involvement in football, except for:

"Scorer of Reading's first goal, sponsored by Jacob's the Jewellers: Jimmy Quinn!"

Think I'll leave it to you "experts" to argue it out...preferably on here so I can learn how the real "experts" do it.

Also, you're ghey and do you want a fight?

The PA should ask the crowd to choose the MotM. The PA says the players name and the player with either the loudest cheer or least boos gets the award.

given the crowd that we have, that would be the ultimate least scientific and accurate way of doing it (Shane Long would win everytime  ).

The MOM should be announced the week after, and the players should should be the electees!

Can we instead have shit head of the match and boo the loudest to announce our winner?

Good idea but it will be fairer if we all text the name of our MOM to an expensive premium rate phone no. that will make squillions for the club just like Strictly Come Dancing does for the Beeb. Also they could then ignore the fans vote if the sponsor didn't like it so everones happy.

They should announce a fan of the match instead after the final whistle blows, maybe that'll persuade some of the early leavers to stay in their seats.

I doubt it. The only way you can get some fans to stay till the end is to either pay them or force them to stay.
