Crouch's "stock" has definitelyy gone up this year - admiitedly from a low point.

Rooney's has only gone down from where he was 10 months ago.

Crouch isn't even a first choice at Liverpool these days after the arrival of Bellamy and Kuyt. He will be a forgotten man in 6 months time. He's probably just started his last game for England, it's all downhill for Crouch from now on.

He will be back at Portsmouth within 18 months.

Rooney's done nothing since he broke his foot. He'll come good in the end, but right now he's a scouse Paul Dickov.

The topic asked who has had the best year?
The answer must be Crouch.
This is the player who has made the very best of his ability, albeit limited.
The other is a fat little git who may never live up to the potential of his early years.

Blimey! I'm a Crouch fan, but had no idea he had been that good.
