Congrats to Burnley...

by Royal Boil » 25 May 2009 23:31

... for finally getting back into the top tier after 30 plus years. Commiserations also to Sheffield Utd, who are, like us, a godsend to the bookies when they get to the playoffs. (i.e. lots of hope from mug punters versus a history of any number of unsuccessful campaigns). Why am I posting this on this board? Maybe because I'm hoping to find a bit of bonhommie towards another overachieving team like ourselves. Apparently, next season, Burnley will be the smallest town in the Premiership, so I for one wish them well.

You're probably right. My defence is that I pressed the start button from the board I was reading. Deselect me if you will!

Agreed. Burnley definitely deserve their position in the Premier league and they only need a few quality players to be able to stay up this year.
