Coca Cola's deal with League ends

The Football League and Coca Cola have decided not to extend their sponsorship deal beyond the end of the current 2009/10 season.

Coca Cola began its partnership with the Football League in 2004 and signed a three-year extension in 2007.

A joint statement said they were holding talks about continuing some sort of commercial relationship.

The League said it was "in discussions with a number of companies about the title sponsorship opportunity".

Fantastic.

Hopefully they ditch the awful names of the Championship, League 1 and 2 as well.
