World Cup Body Armour

lol, as if anyone's gonna fork out for this

I have just received an email warning all football fans not to travel to the World Cup this summer without England body armour.

Unveiled today, the PROTEKTORVEST has been hailed as “a very unique approach to protect supporters travelling to South Africa”.

They say: “The new idea of PROTEKTORVEST is to bring protective clothing to the masses.”

It gets better. “By enabling protective stab vests to communicate with each other through messages like ‘Enjoy the game’ or ‘Fair Play’, PROTEKTORVEST hopes it can bring a new dimension to body armour.”

Before I continue, this was a legitimate press release which just landed in my inbox. They cost $69.95 plus two bucks for the flag.

“The vest can be decorated with creative A4 size badges like flag colours or fun motives which are available at the online store PROTEKTORVEST.COM.”

So you could have a picture of Wayne Rooney on your armour. Perhaps the players should wear them too?

It goes on: “We are seeing a high demand in personal protective clothing and there is no doubt that the risk is increasing at big events like the World Cup 2010.”

Sascha Cutura, the co-founder of PROTEKTORVEST, also advises us to wear them at dangerous concerts.

On a positive note, PROTEKTORVEST will actively support charities and donate part of the income to charities fighting against knife crime.
