TBM As good as Drogba is, Chelsea can still win without him - Man Utd without Rooney are somewhat average looking.....so for that reason i've voted Rooney

You've voted Rooney because the players around him and his replacement aren't as effective as those of Drogba?

No i voted Rooney cos if a player can "carry" a team and do what he does it makes him stand out more.........i'm not saying Drogba is shite am i - its hard to pick so i went for the person who offers more to their side.

I agree about the sentiments of playing them both together, that would be truly devasting.

Rooney offers so much to a team; his work rate, team work and tenacity are unrivalled in world football and I truly mean that. Couple that with undoubted ability with a ball at his feet and a ridiculous hunger for the game and he's got to be up there with the best players in the game today.

However, Drogba is an absolute juggernaut of a striker who is literally unplayable on his day. I've seen him give an entire back four the runaround by himself and not let up at all in ninety minutes. To be a midfielder playing behind a bloke who makes the opposition's defenders piss their pants at the prospect of playing against him must be pretty motivating.
