Pardew under pressure

What a strange game football has become. Silly me had thought he done a sterling job considering the circumstances at St. Mary's these last 18 months or so.

given that they would be 5 points off the play offs in league 1, with significant investment in players like Ricky Lambert, i can kind of see where he's coming from.

Fu*cking idiot springs to mind.

10 points deducted, no players left and Pardew picks up the pieces and get this.

Tell em to stuff it Pard's.

No players left???????????

Despite adminisration he still had for League 1 a very good squad, and been able to add the likes of Lambert and Murty. It is a bit harsh to have a go with all the upheaval, but Pardew has had money to spend on loans and permenant signings, and would still be 5 points off without the deduction. An average job in my view.

It's not just Lambert and Murty-if you add in the two most recent signings their spending is not far short of the highest spending in The Championship this season let alone Div1.
Also Mr Hype was shouting his mouth off about getting promotion this season so the chairman has had his hopes raised as have the fans.
Perhaps their chairman ought to have a word with ours and discover that it is often the chairman that makes those claims and raises the hopes of supporters.

Has anyone read the comments? Their supporters are more deluded than ours!

If Pards goes, how much BR for the job?

This just seems completely bizarre. On the outside looking in it seems that Pardew has done a decent job of turning around a club that only 6-8 months ago was in crisis. They are comfortably midtable when during the crises some people were suggesting that relegation to League 2 would be the best they could hope for! You have to give a manager in this situation at least another season to achieve your aspirations. They are not a bad side, certainly one of the better teams in that division, and given Pardew's history of getting teams up, by hook or by crook, an owner would have to be confident that they will go up with him in charge. Give them a regular pre-season, I think if they don't go up this season then they'll go up next, I'd put money on it. To openly criticise at this stage of the season is just plain stupid though. Bloody foreigners.

What a penis.

I watched Saints play at Brentford a week or so ago and they looked a very strong, useful outfit, very capable of going up with a decent run of results. It was a fond memory seeing Pards in the dug-out at Griffin Park, for obvious reasons.

They were streets ahead of Brentford in the first half, pegged back in the second in what looked a familiar Pards tactic of sitting on a lead.

But whatever, he seems to have got a strong squad together with a good blend of players, despite a loss of points.

Football fans and owners these days? Cocks. Mainly.

Think people are missing the point here.

There are someway off the play offs and with the season they have had some players might be taking it easy thinking the pressure is off having achieved mid tabel security.

This is an attempt to kick them up the ass and show the pressure to perform is still there.

It's actually classic Pards.
