It's not the same licence for both.

Thanks for the link, a very enjoyable read.

So Marcus might be on a free in the summer :?

When I spoke to his Mrs last summer, going back to Seattle was definitely the plan once his playing career was finished.

I know, it's still a pilots license though. I know it's all in the detail but he isn't the first.

Typical Guardian

What he said.

It looks like a PA28-200R to me. You need a PPL licence with SEP rating to fly that 8) You are also permitted to fly different types of single engined fixed wing aircraft after a check flight with an instructor. That's called a type conversion check flight.

That does not mean you know anything whatsoever about helicopterriers which are utterly, utterly different and need a different licence.

Q: Do you know how helicopters fly?
A: They are so ugly the earth repels them. FACT.

Great interview, glad the Guardian decided to do a one on one with him. Always been a big fan of Marcus. His time with the USMNT. His time with us here. Quality keeper, quality person.

Kinda typical American though...guns, hunting, flying and heavy metal. And not wanting to be told what he can do is another dead giveaway, lol. I figure he will be headed back my way to North America after this season. He might sign with one of the expansion MLS clubs, like Keller did with Seattle, to finish out his pro career. In fact Vancouver has an expansion team starting up this upcoming season, which is only a short flight from his hometown of Seattle.

Thought it was kinda cool that he calling Berkshire home while he is living in England even after he left for the Wolves. I think it speaks highly of the team and the people whom call the place home.

It can be very much like England in terms of it raining a lot...one of the rainiest places in North America. So they sit around coffee shops, get jacked up on caffeine, listen to a lot of grunge and do a lot of drugs. Not much more to do when it rains like that.
