Seems like he is separating the players from the fans and sending the players off into a more far off fantasy world with no real contact with the general public. One bad tweet a month or so can't be justification for keeping a whole team away from the fans.

Given how badly they're doing I don't think it's a bad idea on a temporary basis. Less chance of someone provoking the fans and turning things even more sour.
