Barry the bird boggler A BBC spokesman said it was unable to schedule a show for New Year’s Eve’s games
Why not, FFS

How many channels have they got these days?
The british tax payer is forced to hand over billions of pounds to the BBC regardless of whether they watch or listen to any of it's far from impartial output or, go through life without a TV.
Auntie abuses this privileged position by applying it's own left leaning criteria to how they spend the money.
Why do they have a 24/7 news channel? Because NOTHING is of more importance to them than the mouth piece that ensures their views are heard worldwide......................and stuff the 100's of local newspapers that struggle to compete with it's all consuming website.
So, having been forced to reduce their spending like the rest of us, there was more chance of hell freezing over than this ever affecting that precious news channel or it's highly political move to Salford.
How many licence payers think Alan Hansen is worth 40k every time he rocks up for MOTD? I'm one of those who enjoys the views of these guys but if he's on this kind of money no wonder the BBC refuses to be more specific regarding the salaries of it's top earners.
Meanwhile, they stick up 2 fingers to 2 million football league fans who just want to see the goals scored by their mostly lower league, not to mention largely potless, football teams.............................isn't this just the sort of public service that the BBC SHOULD be prioritizing?
