TBM Why don't we see many English players playing the likes of Italy, Spain, France, Germany.......?
We could all probably count on one (maybe two) hand the amount of International English players that have played in a foreign country (during their peak). Personally i think until this happens we won't see England win a major tournament - as our players struggle to play against the foreign style of football.

Hoop Blah One of the England U19s (Dier) actually plays in Portugal for Sporting I think it was.
As Waxy said, there's very little motivation for any of our players to go abroad when we have the top paying clubs in the world over here (bar two, maybe three).

Hoop Blah Fact is though, most foreign clubs can't afford our players and so they probably don't show much of an interest.

Hoop Blah We're also not the best travellers in the world. Apart from Waddle, Beckham and McManaman, and I think Owen to a lesser extent, have there been too many more genuine successes with our players going abroad (actually you could probably add Joe Cole to that list)? I don't think thats usually down to ability but just the difference in cultures and geography that often means our players don't settle. Might be a bit of a stereotype but it's got to play a part.
Why up root your family for a move abroad when you can get more money (most of the time) whilst staying at home.
