Must have missed the news leading up; why did Tevez start on the bench? Just Aguero's return?

Both Manchester clubs can count themselves lucky to get any points.

Victor Meldrew
soggy biscuit Chelsea's Ivanovic booked for diving.

Matey on the radio said it was one of the worst dives you are ever likely to see

Ivanovic and Oscar both simulating.
Has there ever been a more apt "You're just a team of divers" than for this Chelsea side.
Amazingly they are now even worse with their top diver,Drogba, departed.

2 good dives from Glen Johnson today you haven't mentioned m8. And one from Suarez.....

Who listened to 606 on Saturday? Some absolute pcunt on from Norn Iron supporting Chelsea and with two points to convey - Ivanovic's dive was not very good because he doesn't practice it often enough, so it was too obvious, and Luiz's tackle was perfectly acceptable because Stoke do that sort of thing all the time. Fcuking tool, but then that's CFC all over.

Player power seems to have ruled at Newcastle.

Cisse took, then missed, the penalty they were given against Norwich. Pardew said afterwards that it wasn't his choice of penalty taker, but the rest of the team wanted him to get his first goal.

Might have become an issue if they had only drew or lost the game.

Yep, he was almost as comical as the Villa supporter berating Savage.

In other news, Martin Kelly has been ruled out until the New Year with knee ligament damage - so much for Ryan Giggs telling him to get up. Good to see a wise old head knowing all about the game :|

10-man team I thought, Gervinho is utter gash, his touch reminds me of Shane Long in the bad old days.

but otherwise, 'greed, could be a contender this year

They certainly played well at City and, unlike most of their opponents, didn't seem frightened and took the game to City.
Some of the teams playing midweek in Europe didn't look at their best including:-
Chelsea
Man Utd
Man City
Barcelona
Dortmund
so maybe these games do affect teams playing a few days later.
It shouldn't but it does whereas Reading for at least the past 10 years often look better when games come along fast and furiously.

Nice one Ryan. Club now says Kelly is out for the season, having ruptured his ACL.
