Carlos Slim, believed to be the richest person in the world with an estimated net worth of $69 Billion, has begun negotiations to take over the La Liga football club Getafe.
Ángel Torres, the club's chairman, has been looking for a buyer in view of the money the club owes, and the Mexican looks set to take over at Getafe.
The takeover will be carried out by América Móvil, the company that owns the broadcasting rights of the 'Liga BBVA' in Mexico. The deal is expected to be finalised in the next few days
