Bastian Schweinsteiger - Best Centre Mid on the Planet?

He's got everything - power, strength, vision, shooting, tackling, heading, and of course passing. He's probably the most versatile midfielder in the game and looks comfortable anywhere from CDM to LM. Personally I think he is very underrated and IMO he is the best midfielder in the world at this moment in time. Discuss.

Translates as 'Pig Mounter'.

When watching him in the 2006 world cup with my 90 year old Catholic German Gran, she muttered 'that's a terrible name to have'.

Great photo, which tells us so much.

I've attended the odd Association Football match, as I'm sure that we all have*, and if a smoking hot Aryan beauty walked past me during the game, holding what are obviously two pints of strong continental lager, I'd would at the very least been momentarily distracted.

I might have looked at her bottom once she was past, I may have made a gratuitously sexist remark to one of my BFFs next to me; whatever.

Yet those German chappies are still transfixed by the football, their concentration has not waivered.

Typical Teutonic efficiency - this is what gets them to the final of major pan-European tournaments IMO.

* obviously I'm not including Ian Royal in this sweeping statement.

Toure is utter class on his day, but he's way too inconsistent to be the best in the world imo.
