If it wasn't for the BBC becoming obsessed with minor sports in the last couple of years, women's football in particular, I couldn't have told you whether the national team was managed by a man, woman, poodle, alien or a combination of all four!

No. One. Cares. You only have to look at the crowds, which seem entirely made up by friends and family.

Women are at least the equal of men and indeed more capable in so many, many fields. Football is not one of them, so stop pushing it

Pushing it? Wasn't aware of it until this thread. I have no issue with them playing football it aint for me but i won't use insults or be flippant about it. Didn't it get big crowds during olympics so there ARE people out there who have an interest.

The olympics got big crowds for everything because it was the olympics not because the sports had great appeal on their own.
