Do managers have access to a actual transfer list? Do players get put on a transfer list any more?

It seems there has been a shift in recent years where clubs just target a player and go in with a bid, whether they available or not, i can't remember the last time i heard that a player has been 'placed on the transfer list'

Although you won't find many players on the transfer list above league 1, still interesting to take a look at.

Don't clubs just tell the agent the player is no longer needed and then the agent will just go out and contact certain clubs for his client?!

Wont even pretend to have the slightest idea, it's very much behind closed doors these days. Although I doubt that's the case for every transfer, as obviously there are certain players at clubs that they wont sell unless they get a offer they can't refuse, the offer is then accepted and it's up to the new club and the player and his agent to agree terms for the deal to be finalised.

Would be a lot more interesting if transfer listed players were public knowledge!
