AF2 yeah but the USA had a poor WC coz they're shit

Maybe but would they have been less so with Harkes playing?
Who knows.
The other player thought they would have done better which is the point of the article.
BTW for England's best chance at this World Cup I would suggest that Terry with Ashley Cole and Baines or Warnock as back-up is a better proposition than Upson (instead of Terry) with Ashley Cole and Bridge as back-up.

Under normal circumstances that'd be right, and may indeed be the correct decision now. However...... because this is an issue that affects the team directly (Bridge), through association (friends of Bridge and Terry) and because its a moral issue that will have a few players no longer showing Terry respect on the pitch, perhaps there's a chance that the team will be weaker as a unit with Terry still in the side.

As you say there is a chance that the team will be weaker as a unit but do you really think that the players won't show Terry respect?
Don't forget that nearly all top players live in a completely different world from us with different ethics and IMHO where they regard cheating both on and off the pitch as o.k.

I've played in teams, and know lads, that share their women about anyway, so I'm not sure that side of it will upset anyway...probably far from it.

The only issue is that it seems that Bridge wasn't aware or involved and so it's all been done behind his back.

I do think it's becoming a bit of storm in a teacup, but at the same time I do think a split in the squad could still be damaging for our WC chances.

Seal Such a scumbag. Can anyone help me complete the list of JT misdemeanours? So far I've got...

- Fighting a bouncer with Jody Morris
- 9/11 abusing American tourists
- Gambling debts
- Fighting with Paparazzi
- Numerous acts of infidelity
- Mum's a shoplifter
- Dad's a drugdealer
- Car fines (speeding, parking in disabled bay)
- Alleged racism (King, Eto)

It just needs one person to put him in his place to realise fame does not mean invincibility

Liam Gallagher had half his jaw knocked out by a German estate agent and has since quietened down a treat

Yeah Oasis put out the story that the Mafia beat them up, but actually .....

OASIS bad boy Liam Gallagher lost two teeth in a nightclub brawl with estate agents not mafia hardmen police revealed yesterday.

Reports about the punch-up in Munich 17 months ago polished the band's rock and roll image by declaring that they tackled gangsters.

But police in the city yesterday revealed it was a bunch of cheesed-off estate agents and salesmen who turned on the group after they flicked peanuts at them

Zammo I've heard the following alleged rumours concerning Terry. I must stress that they are alleged, but have come from a source within the newspaper industry. Did I mention that these are alleged rumours.......

The Sun have lined up another EIGHT women who have slept with him in the last 18 months or so. Enough for a couple of weeks of front pages. Including FHMs own HSH, Tanya Robinson.

The front page today that Bridges ex, Vanessa, has slept with FIVE members of the Chelsea squad is only the beginning.
Two other Chelsea players - Gudjonsen and Drogba - were also sleeping with Bridge's girlfriend at the same time as Terry.

The Sun is also paying Vanessa £250k to dish everything including the fact that the mystery fifth Chelsea player is, depressingly predictably, X-Factor related.

the mystery fifth Chelsea player is, depressingly predictably, Ashley Cole. Which should give Cheryl the excuse she needs to finally dump him.

JT has also been sleeping with another current team mate's wife (who also has kids).

JT has also been sleeping with current team mate Hilario's wife (who also has kids)

Away from the bedroom, JT also owes Wembley a substantial amount of money for a box he owns and hasn't paid for, even after he had mates in there racking up a £20k bill at the FA Cup final.

all alledgedly of course

Does anyone think Cappello really cares who JT's been banging?

Does anyone think Cappello really cares who captain is?

The media have created a circus over something that means nothing, Capello has made a token gesture which means nothing.

My two favorite bits from the media were todays front page of the Mail, "After days of dithering by the FA, it takes an Italian family man just 10 minutes to sack captain who shamed England"

That beauty could only be beaten by 5live have Gerorge Burley comment on the entire situation and he said JT would have lost the respect of his team mates. I almost fell of my chair.

God bless this nation....

For shagging your team mates partner, Burley is probably spot on.

True. Any self-respecting footballer would have invited them round for a spit-roast and recorded it all on their phones.
