Isn't it pretty clear that Utd have been getting by on belief, reputation and Fergie's strength of personality for a few years? Their team is chock full of has-beens, not good enoughs, cripples and want aways.

De Gea is not reliable enough. Rafael is probably the worst full back they've had in years. Ferdinand is due for the knackers yard. Smalling and Jones aren't living up to expectations. Giggs is about 40. Anderson and Cleverley and co probably make up the worst midfield Utd has had in years. Young is massively inconsistent.

Moyes took on a poison chalice and the second results dipped it was going to all go wrong as Utd's invincible reputation cracked and people started to panic. He's got a massive rebuilding job on his hands. Mata is a good buy, but the problems seem defence and midfield, not so much upfront.

retro_royal To blame Moyes is just laughable and shows that you are a moron. Unfortunately a fair few 'United fans' seem to have this view. Thankfully the match going ones don't.

Moyes has been dealt a hard hand this season. The key to last season. Rio had gone, Vidic and Evans who was our best defender last season injured a lot. Carrick's form has dropped, no Scholes and not much of RVP.

The two new signings haven't had a run in the side yet so sadly this season is a write off and I don't think Moyes should be judged on this.

Keane is right, we've cut corners for the last 8 years in bringing in new players.

It must be hard being a Scouser constantly looking forward to next season but if we can get 2 defenders and 2 new very good midfielders we'll challenge for the title again.

You mean looking forward to next season then ?
I'll carry on enjoying this one thanks.
You didn't think all that at the start of the season either. You thought you were going to win the league

People who predicted that United would win the league (like you did) have been shown to be
Besides, I never really expected Liverpool to win it. Had £10 on them a month ago when they had drifted to 20/1. Layed them yesterday at 8/1. Guaranteed profit

The betting now is all about which one of Chelsea or Man City will win it.
Liverpool and Arsenal are now 8/1 and Man Utd are 400/1.
With the top 5 thought to now only be :-
Man City
Chelsea
Liverpool
Arsenal
Spurs
All massively odds-on to make the top 6 these are the odds for the only other 3 that could get there:
Everton 4/6
Man Utd 4/6
Southampton 20/1
Living and working as I do close to Saints fans they see their team as a reasonable punt at those odds and I don't disagree with them.

Don't talk shite. I have used betfair since its inception. In fact I have a friend on the board of directors who I went to school with. Just because some nob on here said I didn't understand it did not make it accurate. I laughed my head off at him then and you now. You have a look and you will not be able to find a single post that shows I do not understand how it works.
Mr C Username I placed a bet £10 at 20/1 gives winnings of £200 if it comes in.
With this in mind a layed them to the tune of £12 yesterday at 8/1. If Liverpool win the league i lose the £96 but win the £200 from my previous bet - £104 profit.
If it doesn't come in I lose the £10 from my first bet but win £12 off this one - £2 profit.
Before any one pops up and says betfair charge 4% commission on winning bets, they don't if you are very good friends with a director.
For someone who claims such a vast knowledge of the betting industry you disappoint me C.U.

Liverpool having a great season. Shame their fans seem more obsessed about United's demise this season.

Lol yes indeed yet again. I know its unlikely but I am rather hoping its a profit of £104. Least I wont be down overall either way.
