I'd like someone to really make the most of it - and why not North Korea - loudly proclaiming themselves to be the lineal world champions, pulling out of mandatory FIFA competitions and demanding absurdly large purses to play challengers.

This makes no sense. It's exactly as contrived as the actual system.

North Korea have managed to hold on to the title so far with less than convincing 1-1 draws with Kuwait and Tajikstan. Tonight though, the might Philipppines will try to wrestle the crown from them.
