roadrunner I agree. For any mid-table side I think Sturridge is a decent player, and with the lack of quality Liverpool currently have up front, he improves them for now, but I don't expect he'll be a long-term hit.

The real pressure is on Suarez to come in and hit the ground running.

At a club like Liverpool, who will inevitably return to a top six placing in a season or two, Sturridge ultimately will only ever be a third choice striker and I don't believe there will be that greater expectancy of him.

That was what Paul Konchesky told his mum.

Chelsea will be offering him silly money and other 'incentives' I'm sure. Champions League football is a big pull as well of course. There is no top European club that can stretch to £45m at the moment. Inter Milan can't even stretch to meet Tottenham's evaluation of Gareth Bale.

£45M for a long time out of form player who has already stated he wants out of the club? Would be the deal of the century for Liverpool.

Whether Chelsea could give him CL football is another thing.

When o When will the likes of TalkSport Radio stop creaming themselves over the likes of Torres and their perrenial transfer requests?

6am to 10pm for two days running from their presenters crapping on about him during an FA cup weekend......................a brief mention of the competition.... then ANY excuse to get back to the Torres issue

Totally fecked off with it all.....do they (or their producers) not realise that the majority of the country are not Liverpool fans and are therefore not bothered what their injury prone sulky Spaniard does or doesn't do..............especially this weekend of all weekends

I have no sympathy for anyone who listens to talksport - unless it's under duress.

Laziness, lack of imagination, budget. I recommend a complete rest from football coverage. Stick to watching it live and playing it.

The whole year inn
cmonurz Rumour mill says that Chelsea will be successful on Monday with a bid of £45m + Sturridge.

LOLiverpool

Suarez was blatantly bought with the Torres transfer proceeds, nobody can see this in Merseyside  Or on here for that matter :|

They are a scummy club destined for mid-table where they belong

Mid-table eh?
Weren't people on here talking about them being relegated not so long ago?
If Liverpool is a "scummy" club I'm not sure what that makes you.

Is it your opinion that he is a one trick pony? Certainly isn't mine.

Time has already told. He is far from a 'one trick pony'.
