prostak How many of us would swap Long for Keane at club level, assuming a straight swap were possible?


If they were the same age, or it was just for one season without any consideration of he future or financial implications I probably would swap them.

The point is for Ireland it's more a case of would you swap Doyle for Long because Keane partners either of the
better.

It now sounds like Doyle could miss the rest of the season.

Handsome Man One might seem to be on the way up and the other on the way down, but Keane is better than Long and you wold be shocked if Long was preferred.


Absolutely. I am not really a fan of Keane but he scored his 46th international goal last night, he's the team captain and Trap will always go for experience in his team selections when possible. No brainer - had Long been picked, I would've been shocked.

Thought Shane had a rather poor game.
Let's hope the head injury is not too bad but enough to keep him out of their midweek friendly.

Thankfully Shane seems to have got away without serrious injury... How the hell that wasnt a red card is beyond me
