cmonurz I wonder if there is another club in the world with RFC's relatively small stature to hold a collection of such impressive records?

Most points in a league season, most wins to begin a season, most goals in a single game - I just imagine these records are the preserve of the 'big teams' in other countries.

Still got longest time without conceeding in all competitions iirc. Didn't Utd conceed in a European game during Van Der Sarr's stupendous unbeaten run?

When we're good, we're really good.

Oxford got one at least against us in the Lge Cup in that run which would knock a few mins off.

Most goals from open play by a 'keeper'? Or did some South American ever get HAt-trick.

Just seen on Soccer Saturday that Huddersfield Town are unbeatean in 34 league matches, a record for any team in the English FL outside the top flight.

And so goes the last of the possible 13's. (thnak you Stoke)

Just goes to show how incredible that start was.

A somewhat dubious record though. Sandwiched in the middle the small matter of losing a league play off 3-0. A defeat that basically preserved their unbeaten run as i doubt they'd be unbeaten at this stage if they'd gone up

^This. Irritatingly a record, officially, but certainly worthy of an asterisk.

we've still the got divisional record (shared with Liverpool) and the undefeated run within one season (to ourselves).

There was a Huddersfield fan moaning about the quality of this run (too many draws) on 606 last night.

I know what he means. I think our previous best unbeaten was 19 of which 9 were draws, mostly 0-0s.

Only Man City and Man Utd in the Premier League can beat 106 (I know they've got a lot less to play for - only 114)
Given that Man Utd have still got to go to the Etihad and they have to win the rest to get 107.

In reality, Plymouth and Bristol City are the first two casualties in the 106 race (amongst those that have 138 to play for)

Yeovil have to win the rest to match 106.

Doncaster, Wycombe, Bournemouth, Chesterfield, Exeter & Barnet have to win the rest to beat it.

I'll resurrect this at the end of each month

Its certainly a record for a team to do that and not get promoted.

Not quite - Forest did 40+ in the Football League and didn't get promoted.

Possibly because they couldn't, as they were already in the top division?

Now at 42 games! 8 required to beat Arsenal's mark.

Tbh it's some effort to have drawn so many games and not managed to lose one.

They are away at Charlton in two games time, which might prove the one that breaks the streak.

should not the rider"since three points were awarded for a win" be factored in?

I don't think so, are you aware of a longer undefeated streak from prior to three points for a win?

On the point re Huddersfield's draws, Forest actually drew 21 of their undefeated 42 game streak, which I believe was set when you got 2 points for a win.

Apart from losing the LEAGUE play off final 3-0, a game which determines which LEAGUE you play in. If theyd won that they would almost certainly have lost this season. a totally false statistic that even most Huddersfield fans think shouldnt be recognised.

The playoff final isn't a league game, data isn't comparable if you include games played by one team when other teams don't play those matches. Presumably the league will have a formal opinion on whether this is a record.
