Were their flights to Spain cancelled?
Would explain why there were so many spare seats then.

sandman Why would they bother turning up when they're already through?

If Arsenal were at home today i bet they would still have got 55k+

Wonderful, good for them. They haven't won a trophy for 6 years but at least they'd have turned up for a meaningless match. Getting out of the group is one of the highlights of their season now. That and finishing fourth.

:| I was simply pointing out that English fans aren't as fickle as those abroad......they go to watch football, not just cos of the opposition/competition

Really?... Really?...Really? Have you ever read a messageboard? Listened to a phone-in? Read a letters page in a newspaper? We might follow our teams around the country more than they do in Spain but there aren't many who are more fickle than the English football fan.

Btw There's a little match going on in Spain this weeked that's slightly more important than a dead rubber against some Eastern European nobodies.

Are there any other clubs in the entire world which MUFC supporters don't have anything other than absolute disdain towards? Their contempt towards the likes of City, Liverpool, Leeds and Reading has been well documented, I didn't know that the net of h8 was now being flung all across europe.

Don't United fans get forced to buy the tickets if they are season ticket holders?

No I'm saying English fans are fickle something which you deny. I already addressed the attendance issue.
