Apart from anything else, it's not as if there are hundreds of guys dressed like that. I think there's about four of them.

Besides, who's to say that's specifically a crusader costume anyway? Isn't that just standard dress for a knight of the era?

They'd probably wear their own, or their lord's livery as standard

I believe so, not that I was there.

Dude sees himself as some sort of left wing champion, but also gets a hard-on over German ultras. Bit odd.

Very good Stuka.

The guardian article is shit and clearly written by a joyless phucker who isn't a football fan. That doesn't change the fact that it's amusing to see people getting worked up about an article that is classic guardian PC copy. It's the right wing equivalent of me moaning on a thread about how evil and wacist the Daily Mail is.

This is true, though Stuka is wide of the mark with the Citizen Smith post, this guys much more my style;

and it would only be odd if German Ultras were right wing.

Not sure it makes someone "worked up" if they brand a shit article shit, but at least you got ot say "right wing", "white van man", and Daily Mail all on the same thread. Christmas come early for you.

The Guardian might be the inverse of the Daily Mail but they're both equally as bullshiiiit.

watfordroyal What did he think the St Georges cross symbolised? Have we got to change our flag to protect his sensitivities?

In England, he is surrounded by Christian symbols because this is a (psudo-)Christian country, what sportswear does use? what car does he drive?, what trainers does he wear? what phone does he use?

Chinese - Japanese - Chinese - American/Chinese ........ and ....... ?

I genuinely don't get the inference.

It was a great opportunity to cultivate the St Pauli brand/stereotype, agreed.

*Takes off lefty hat* I don't actually think the Daily Mail is racist.

I bet I'm more left wing than you St. Pauli. I once wrote a piece for the Socialist Alliance newspaper and I'm a vegetarian.

If you're talking about the organisation I'm thinking of, I'm amazed they had a paper, given it was made up of trot groups all desperate to sell their own rag. I once wrote a letter to Socialist Worker to see whether they made them up or not, and it got published. Oh and if you're genuine about being veggie, you are more left wing. I love meat and couldn't really give a phuck about animal rights.

I think the S.A. was dissolved once it became apparent the SWP were trying to take it over from within. They had a paper called "The Socialist". What a load of twaddle.

Genuinely vegetarian. I care more about animal welfare than I do London bus driver's Olympic bonuses.

So does this dude get offended when watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail? They look to be wearing the same kind of outfits to me.

Do you peeps get offended when Americans get dressed up in Revolutionary War costumes and reenact battles around the time of each 4th of July? And we got over the fact that you burnt our capitol to the ground during the following war.

People need to lighten up...

The Socialist was produced by the Socialist Party (used to be Militant in Labour) who were one of the Trot groups in the SA. I'll stop there as this is all getting a bit trainspotter.

So do I, and I am at this very moment eating a bacon quiche for lunch. Yum.
