Platypuss I'd be more impressed if they did the G&G stuff elsewhere and left OT empty.
Surely this was the whole point of creating FC United. Why don't they all go and watch them instead.

No Fixed AbodeFranchise FC The biggest LOL is at the idea that the Glazers are actually bad for them.
Under their ownership they've ONLY won the PL three in a row, the League Cup two in a row and the Champions League.
What, exactly, do the fans think they should be doing that's better ?
The same could be said of Reading though. When things aren't going so well, it's all about blaming Madejski and the board. Realistically where do Reading see themselves? I mean, it's not likely you'll ever win the PL and for the size of the club and financial backing surely Championship level is a good level for you. So what do you think they should be doing that's better?
Many fans moaned on here about the board etc when the team were stuggling, but nobody had the guts to protest. If United fans want to protest about how the club is run, let them. I'm sure they know the club better than you.

Dirk Gently Firstly, this is virtually the perfect football protest, because it allows supporters to still support their team whilst making a very real and visible protest to the owners. I wish I'd have thought of an idea like this, and I've got nothing but admiration for the guys who did (and I've told them so, too.)

What does this perfect protest change, out of interest?

If I were the Glazers, I'd change United's away strip to Green and Yellow.

They did the old Newton Heath strip back in the mid-nineties didn't they? Back in the days of the laced collar...

Wimb I may be missing the entire point here so feel free to Dodd me.
But if United are spending X amount of the profit on servicing the debt and X amount of buying players/wages. Are the Glazers actually making any money right now, or is the hope that in 50 years the debt will go down to a point where they can make money?
Regardless the protest is a credit to the fans. Yes it might not get anywhere but as Dirk says at least they are trying and even if the Glazers are making money it must hurt the pride/ego when they know that they won't be accepted. In the end such a factor usually leads to people leaving, look at the likes of Doug Ellis at Villa, Alan Sugar at Spurs. In the end they got fed up and left, totally different circumstances I admit but it must piss you off if you feel you're not appreciated.

Was still hated and eventually sold up to Lernersaid it was different circumstances but the huge wedge of cash EVENTUALLY helped to get him out

Maguire The answer is that it won't change anything. What it will do is allow the good people of Manchester a chance to feel like they're part of some anti-establishment anarchy whilst simultaneously still piling their coin into the Old Trafford coffers like the little sheep they are.
If I was one of the Glazers i'd prolly shrug myself to death over this one.
