Messiah Drogba's offside was blatant and shouldn't have been missed. Was the handball clear cut?

It was worse than the offside.

No it wasn't. No one except those bang in front could have seen the hand ball, but the whole ground, neigh, the whole world could see that Drgoba was off side.

Sorry, don't agree. The handball was more blatant than the offside. Both were missed by the officials.

that decision could decide the destination of the title. if so that official should never officiate a top level game again.

at least we are used to that level of crap

Jesus, people make mistakes. Sometimes bad ones. That doesn't mean you sack them on the spot when they make a bad one.

Yeah, he should be lined up against a wall and shot.

Obviously caught a glimpse of the Chelsea player far side and thought it was a Utd player keeping Drogba onside.

No one died ffs.

He's a bloody linesman, he basically has one job to do now that the refs decide who had the last touch for throw in, if he can;t do that one job then he shouldn't be a linesman

That isn't much of a defence, Ian. A lino needs to run a line, keep pace with the line of play, and call an offside, or offense. It's pretty simple tbf. SF is spot on!

I just think it's a total over reaction to say he should be sacked for one mistake. Consistent incompetence no problem. One off error, learn from it, improve, move on. Level and importance of the game is completely irrelevant.

Just going to throw it out there, but I'm thinking maybe this is the summer he finally retires...I think the task of overhauling a side for the fourth time will be too much for him.

O'Neill currently hesitating on signing a new contract, and Mourinho making noises.... Lot of rebuilding to be done with Scholes, Giggs and Edwin all getting on, Owen and Berbatov being inadequate cover for Rooney (and Wellbeck & Macheda not finished products). Just a thought...

If United win the league than I think Ferguson will definitely retire - as he will then have "knocked Liverpool off their fcuking perch" as he set out to do back in the 80's (in terms of surpassing their number of league titles).

If United fail to win the league then I guess it all comes down to how much cash is available for new signings - especially he hasn't got an £80M player to sell to finance new recruits (unless Rooney goes which is highly unlikely).

Alternatively, he could just be waiting for Bobby Charlton to pop his clogs so that he can take over as club president (or whatever role Charlton has these days).

LMAO at Fergie in the interviews after last night's game.

It's almost as if no Manure player has EVER gone to a referee - apart from the obvious enquiry about the referee's health.

p.s. Where's the LMAO emoticon ?
