No Fixed Abode anyone know why Gerrard isn't playing? Thought he'd be fresh after taking last season off.

6ft Kerplunk Tydlesley is a cock. Well no surprise there. "Oh, he's given it", yeah when the ball is three yards over the line its generally a goal.

it's not Tyldsley, hope that helps!

LOL. It's Peter Drury.

Drury, Townsend and Southgate...........ITV are the champions of live sport  Roll on the 30 odd games they'll be covering in June.

apart from fact it was not Tyldsley, itv commentary team is embarrassing. What is it with them and goal line incidents. Took him an age to realise ball was in the back of the net.

But done nothing in open play. Might as well have Ashley Young in if that's the criteria, at least he still has some pace

Looking at our shit defence, lack of midfield and general reticence to close the opposition down, I can't see us getting very far in South Africa.

Why does our excellent qualification campaign and good record under Capello count for nothing all because of 60 minutes against Mexico?

And the fact Terry, Lampard, A.Cole all not even in the bench. That must surely come in to it.

Drury: "On nights like this, it just shows how good a world cup in this country would be"

What? Stadiums full of mute splastics who only come to life when the Mexican wave goes round?

Ear-spLOLitting din at Wembley

Appalling commentary. Ridiculous reaction to a pretty straightforward goal plus he keeps getting Johnson and Walcott confused. How?
