Harry Carry 3rd in the league, FA Cup semi-final and a CL semi-final. We're in dissaray I tell thee!

What's the historical record?
3 league titles in over 100 years?
0 European Cups?
Not much to shout about there then?

PlasticRoyale When you waLOLk........

Fecking delighted to see the dippers go out. My only concern is (as usual) they are only competing for one thing compared to the other teams.

For those of us uneducated in Dee Road and Whitley speak what is a "dipper"?
Also why should you be concerned that they are only competing for one thing?

Surely with Liverpool having the biggest squad in England they should still be in all competitions?

Because it makes it more difficult for the team i support (i.e. Manchester United) to compete against Liverpool in the league.

Thanks for the enlightenment-what is the Manc equivalent?
So you think Man Utd aren't good enough to compete on all fronts?
You're probably right but at least they have the comfort of the Carling Cup.

Arsenal v Barcelona I hope-the two most attractive footballing sides left in and (surprisingly in view of their past at Arsenal) the two least-diving sides left in.

Put £10 on Arsenal with a mate who offered me 20-1 odds. Looking good atm.

Judging by past games, shame there cant be a Chelsea/Barcelona final
Utd/Barca would probably be best, but think it'll be Utd/Chelsea again

LUX I was definitely supporting the Scousers.

No surprise there, eh? Most of the players at these 'big' clubs irritate me, so it's the fans who cast the deciding vote - and Scousers are definitely a thoroughly unlikeable bunch.

Don't care who wins the trophy particularly, although I'm not looking forward to any potential plastic Manc behaviour should they manage it; they're dicks as it is.

In terms of football 70's/80's glory hunter scousers = 90's/00's/... glory hunter mancs

I've never bought into the 'they live 30 miles down the road so they're all pcunts' stereotype. I don't believe that fans are that different either. Away games, a bit drunk and your team is doing well = noisy. If you're teams beaten, half the fans leave with 5-10 mins to go. When Liverpool were 3-1 down at the MadStad, there was a lot of empty seats in their end. Didn't happen with Utd because Reading didn't beat them but had Utd been in a similar situation i'm sure it would have been the same

Old Trafford looked more than half empty with 10 minutes to go against Liverpool

I hope Arsenal get to the final and win. They were runners up a few years ago and deserve to win it. Hopefully they beat Barcelona in the final it goes to penalties and Thierry Henry misses the last penalty for Barca sending them out. :)

Prob be Chelsea/Arsenal and then UEFA will force two London clubs and their fans to travel all the way to Rome to play the game rather than taking the obvious decision to move it to Wembley.
