I think TFF's got confused between a Grand Prix and a Grand Prix

I can't see whoever takes on the Olympic stadium selling tickets to a major event at £20 a pop.

Even with capacity reduced to 40,000 it's a huge venue. There won't be legions of games makers working for nothing - the hosting costs will be massive.

Time to resurrect this now West Ham have agreed to move there.

There's one side of thinks they've got it too cheap, but they won't own their own ground and there were few other uses for it.

No doubt Sullivan and Gold will pocket a packet from selling the old one off.

A lot of public money seems to be greasing the wheels for this move. Looks a bit dodgy to me.

I think the government don't want to be embarrassed with an empty Olympic stadium.

When does the government contribute £25m to the Mad Stad then...what? They don't? Of course not that'd be totally unfair...

What I don't get is why "adapting" the stadium will cost £150m-£190m, surely you could build a new one for less than that.

Royalist A farce. R.I.P Leyton Orient.

Why do people keep saying that? Has Barry Hearn never heard of Rochdale, Macclesfield, Bury and all the other teams around Utd and City.......If he wanted to buy a bigger London club, he should have done so.

Not comparable. It's essentially giving West Ham the space to grow where as the Manchester clubs were always big and the distance really is alot lot lot closer!

Orient are and always will be a smaller club than West Ham but they are just going to be swamped now.

Will their ticket prices have to come down? I can't see them selling out 54,000 every week.

It's an absolute disgrace that the government are contributing public money to allow a private concern to move.

If West Ham want it they should get the money needed privately.

So West Ham join the ranks of the so called plastics. Welcome to your new soulless home.

I can't believe we are paying for this and they chip in a tiny amount. They should be footing the majority of the cost. Absolutely disgusted by the whole thing!

Err....I seem to remember playing City in League One not so long ago. West Ham are very comparable to City then. As you said yourself Orient will always be smaller than West Ham. All of Orient's current fans aren't just gonna walk out on them.

Still no plans being made public showing how the new seating will actually work.

West Ham have produced a few artists impressions which don't seem to have much bearing on reality..

There appears to be a new huge gap at the back of the lower tier, but the depth of the new seating as shown is nowhere near deep enough to be anywhere near the corner flag as the pic appears to show.

Here's the stadium as it is now for reference..

More slightly creepy West Ham artwork..

Ticker-tape, plastic flags, lasers, jester hats and bloody horns?

Is this a play-off semi final?

Of course they'll argue that it's not soulless because of all the "Olympic history".

They would also argue why should they pay anything towards it at all if they won't own it and have to pay rent.
