Watch Barcelona for some really GREAT football.

Unbelievable in the 1st half against Osasuna.

5-0 at 41 mins and 85% possession.

Brilliant, but they don't live in apartheid like they do in scotland, people aren't assaulted, killed or threatened on a regular basis. When was the last time Mourinho was sent death threats, bombs or bullets? Have barca ever taken 8,000 fans to the bernabeu? nope....there are so many incidents of violence and passions running high in the OF its laughable. Most of the police in glasgow on duty for OF day, you really have no idea how bad it is.

They have a big on pitch rivalry in spain but the average day to day lives of the fans and players are not affected the way they are in Glasgow. You and the other guy posting " lol" have a very ignorant and misguided view if you can't see a massive contrast in Rivalry's.

So what you're saying is the Spanish are not a moronic bunch of knucklegragging, credulous thugs unlike the inhabitants of Glasgow.

soggy biscuit If violence is your main criteria for 'big' (which your posts on this thread suggest) then the Belgrade derby, Cairo derby, Istanbul derby and even Athens derby make the OF look like a bunch of toddlers crying over their peppa pig dvd. There is a Brazilian one which is meant to be proper mental too, can't remember who though.

Either way, violence doesn't make it 'big'.

Possibly the Fla-Flu derby in Rio - Flamengo vs Fluninense. Record club crowd of 194,603 in '63

No Fixed Abode Manchester United V Chelsea this Sunday.

Looking forward to this. Will be interesting to see how AVB plans to sterilise Uniteds pace. The young pretender v the old master.

Don't care if i'm biting, any Chelsea fan in their right mind should be very concerned by this fixture.

United to win by 3 at least.

I always hate to tell people 'I told you so' at half time.. but need's must.

...as are all large sports events by promoters talking out of their arse.

There's no way in the world that 1 person in 6 in the entire world watches Barcelona v Real Madrid.

In a sense depending what way you read it.. technically I was right so ha-ha-ha. But yeah nice one being the one to nitpick if I was wrong, after asking for it when posting at halftime.

Its a shame that all people are going to remember is that miss; apart from that he probably had his best ever game in a Chelsea shirt, and his best match for anyone in 18 months. Joking aside, if he can build on the positives of today (especially with Muereles (sp) in the middle) then he will be scoring regularly again very soon.

I do want to know how Ashley Cole got away with only a yellow for that tackle and surely that would also be a penalty?

Yeah he was better but the miss was just inexcusable. He just looks miserable out there... I don't know about you but if I'm getting paid £100,000+ a week to play football I'd be running around like a lunatic with a massive grin on my face

Officials judged the ball to be out of play when it happened so classed as off the ball incident

Should have been a red though

sandman There isn't one. Chelsea United didn't have a serious rivalry until Abramovich. Liverpool United is about a petty squable over shipping ports. El Clasico is about a war where people were oppressed and killed it's about more than a football match. The only thing that comes close to it in Britain is the Old Firm.

Comes close?

The old firm is a MUCH bigger game than el classico, not even on the same planet. Madrid/ Barca is way too civilised to be a proper rivalry, no one gets killed, there is no utter hate in the streets, communities aren't divided over it, none of the fans go to the other teams ground and the two city's are MILES away.

So because there's more h8 and violence from the fans in the OF matches, it makes it a bigger game? No-one really gives a fukk about the OF outside of Scotland and Northern Ireland, except for the slightly odd right-wing element who attach themselves to Rangers of course.

You sound like you're almost proud of what goes on at the OF games? Backward people fighting against backward people basically.
