Tails Both feet left the ground; therefore I'm not sure you can argue against me suggesting he jumped into the challenge....

Whether he one it or won it with just one foot is irrelevant, IMHO.

Both feet are off the ground at some stage during the act of running, so that would be 20 reds within the first five minutes of every game then? He won the ball fairly with one foot and the tackled player, Nani, didn't even appeal fr a foul, as it clearly wasn't one.

Because they are the away team, that's what away teams do.

The song should be "you're supposed to be away"

You'd be better just to admit you called it wrong at first look TBH, there's no shame in and that's what the ref will do tomorrow.

Please, Shards....you are not coming across very well here.

Welbeck with a very nice finish. 2-0.

I just checked: both feet were off the ground at the same time.

It's a red card - you lose control when that happens.

Everybody knows 2 feet means red these days. Winning the ball doesn't matter. We've seen plenty of "harsh" reds this season, but it appears refs are being consistent with this one. Kompany can't complain.

The logic is that without a foot remaining on the ground, you don't have much control at all and could very easily break a leg even if there is no malicious intent. Right decision in today's context; players need to learn to stop diving in on 2 feet instead of complaining about the reds they receive.

Nope, your ability to carry out a convincing argument in a sensible way could be deemed offensive....

Agreed. Why complain when refs are being consistent?

Only just started watching so haven't seen the red. How the hell is Chris Foy refereeing a Manchester Derby after Monday?
