Courtesy another moron idiot dumbass f*ckwit South American referee sending off one of our boys for an infraction that wouldn't have merited a booking in England unless it was the latest in a string of persistent fouling

...and it takes an American-born sub to draw the insufferable wops level. It's a sick world.

Freddy made a couple of sodapop ads with Pele and is due back at Benfica after spending a year on loan at Monaco AFAIK.

Alivey vuvuzellas

Caracas hatchet wounds?

I think Jozy'll become a pretty solid striker with time, once he learns how to use his size. No reason he can't be every bit as good as McBride ever was.

Bradley's really surprised me, and in a good way. Goal-scoring machine @ Heerenveen before the move to 'Gladbach.

He looked pretty average until he got to run at the defence. He's fast and seems to have a bit of a shot on him.

His Dad looks like a gunnery sergeant, possibly played by Clint Eastwood.

chilipepper91 Video technology being used for the first time?

I suspect so, Webb went straight to his earpiece and changed his mind. The pundits mentioned that they could be trying out video techonology more and more in future tournaments, as they did for the Zidane headbutt in 2006.

I can see it as only a good thing - that incident yesterday didn't stop play at all, its not like in cricket where you're all stood around waiting for a decision - a quick rewind to see if the ball crossed the line or not, or if someone handled or not.

Ball had gone out of play.
