It would certainly make a difference to how people think about "their club" and not necessarily a positive one. Just wouldn't seem right and if we bought our way back to the Prem it would be a hollow victory.

That is what made the 2005/6 season and the season after so special; I don't imagine you would understand how good this felt though.

Spot on. I have a mate, who's a Man City fan and they've said they feel differently about their club, since the money's started to be thrown at it.

But then again, they actually go and attend their team's matches, rather than watching their team on a big screen, in a pub in Wokingham...

Not completely, but at a guess I would probably care a lot less as it wouldn't seem like my club anymore and would attend fewer games, maybe attend more away games than home ones.
