Sky News says Rio Ferdinand is in hospital having a scan on his knee after suffering an injury in training.

Ferdinand has had a stop-start season at best, if his knee can't handle a the first WC training session, well that's that!

Fergie will be delighted now his Captain can rest up for the new season.

How many of the Spurs boys will make the starting 11 though frimmers? I'd suggest its < 3.
