Agger made a mistake, Berbatov did what most strikers would have done but however hard I try I just can't see Webb, or anyone else, giving that penalty down the other end.

That doesn't make it any less a penalty though.

I think this is one of those decisions where people who see the incident will (generally) side with the ref.

Take it down the other end, and let's say Rio stuck out a leg and Torres went a-tumbling, and Webb waved it away.

Would there really be so many posts stating that it was a definite pen? Of course not.
