cmonurz This must have come up before, but Southampton have now registered 21 consecutive home wins in all competitions![]()
(19 in the league), equalling Liverpool's post-war record from the early 70s. The all-time record is 25, by Bradford PA. Rotherham managed a 22-game win streak in the 1930s.
They last failed to win a home game when they lost 2-1 to United in the League Cup 4th round on 29th January.

Brentford won all 21 home games in 1929/30, the only time a club has finshed the season with a 100% record

Franchise FC Time for the monthly update :
Down to 32 teams that can get 106
Incredibly, still 2 in the PL (Man City and Tottenham - although Tottenham can only match 106)

Tony Le Mesmer Charlton and Crawley look like the main dangers this year. I think at least 1 of them will get 100 points but 106 is still a big ask. You need a lot of luck with Injuries over 46 games, like we did.

We had Shorey, Kitson and Sidwell out for a month in September and kept winning. Lita broke an ankle; Little missed the final 2 months of the season. Lita played a load of games semi fit. He mad Makin and Hunt as the full backs when we beat Sheff Utd.
We were not lucky with injuries that season; we had a great squad. And I swear a lot of people forget that.

T.R.O.L.I.Elm Park Old Boy They have 36 points from 16 games, one point more than we had in autumn 2005 after the same number of games.
The real "breaker" for any team trying to break our record is games 17 to 26 - we won 10 in a row which is a hell of an achievement.
After game 16 the table read:
1. Sheff Utd Pld 16 Pts 38
2. Reading Pld 16 Pts 35
After game 26 the table read:
1. Reading Pld 26 Pts 65
2. Sheff Utd Pld 26 Pts 56
If Saints are near 65 points come 14th January then that is the time to start worrying about the record.

After 5 games of the "10 game run":
Reading Pld 21 Pts 50
Saints Pls 21 Pts 43

I guess the lucky bit was that most of the time the injuries dovetailed so that we had someone coming back when another injury occurred.

Tony Le Mesmer I still find it amazing that, during our 106 season, both Sonko & Ingimarsson started all 46 league games. And picked up 1 yellow card between them. Of all the records we set that season, that one is just

Royal With Cheese Now Charlton P21 Pts 48.
They'd need to win 19 draw 2 and lose 4 out of the last 25 to do it!
