Avon Royal Massive anticlimax - easily the most uncompetitive final in years.

Silver Fox Masterclass from Spain TBF tbh, not their fault Italy weren't up to the task and went down to 10 men. I refer anyone who can't enjoy a one sided match to the 1970 world cup final. Would you haters of preferred a 0-0?

LOL at comparing that glorified training match to the 1970 world cup final!

You do realise that the '70 cup final was level until the last 20 mins or so......

Some of the Spanish through balls were just superb, but this does seem to have set the standard to play 2-8-0

They play as a pack that just follows the ball around.

I feel a bit sorry for Italy as they were unlucky with the sub/injuries, but you have to hand it to the Spanish, the first half they played really well. The second half though was dire.

I live in Spain and tbh the fans here are fcuking embarasing, no fireworks nothing apart from the odd car horn. This must be what its like to get bored of winning.

Just to clarify the 'boring' viewpoint. Surely we can all agree that a close, competitive game with the initiative changing hands every few minutes >>>>>>> total domination by a few excellent footballers?

Spain are great to watch at first, but we've seen the same stuff for the last 5 games, there's only so many one-twos I can watch without becoming desperate for a Kebe-esque run that ends with a guy retardedly tripping over his own feet.

In other words, sport should be about the contest, and the adrenaline/excitement that comes with it...those that say the final was boring mean it purely by how the game lacked that buzz that comes from a really good, competitive game.

Not Spain's fault of course, they are just massively better than any other international team around atm.

Live in Javea, 40 minutes away from Benidorm in Alicante, its like a library here, the spaniards are probably a little bit worried about upsetting the British holiday makers out here looking for an excuse to kick someones head in.

Actually saw a Reading fan last week walking through the town in a 2005 away Doyle shirt, saw another last year on the beach in a Long 2010 home shirt, shouted Come on URZZZ at him and he looked at me like I was an alien.

soggy biscuit
Royal Rother How can you not watch this and marvel at the beauty of the Spanish at their best?

Boring? I feel sorry for you.

I imagine kids all over Spain will run to the streets at the final whistle, full of excitement as they re inact the nations finest hour. Little Xavi's & Iniesta's line up on opposite sides the road as they slowly pass it backwards and forwards between the 2 of them completely ignoring the goalposts nearby until sun goes down and their mums call them in.

Oh the chdhood memories they will have.....

They'll never experience what it's like to stand at each end of their street, kunting the ball to each other and leaving dents on everyones car
