Bracknell drew 2-2 aet at Bognor last night but crashed out of the Trophy 3-2 on penalties thanks to ex Reading keeper Dan Lincoln saving 3!

Annoyingly though Bracknell were apparently 2-0 up after 15 minutes.

Still to hold Bognor twice to 2-2 draws shows that Bracknell, on their day, are actually not too far off being Isthmian Premier (Step 3/Division 7) quality especially when you realise that Bognor were a Conference South side last season and have only lost once in the Isthmian Premier so far this season.

Such a shame for Bracknell but as you rightfully say it shows you where Bracknell are. Really hope they go up this season and then consolidate in the Premier for a couple of years. By that time the new stadium should be built too, can really push on then. Would like to see them flirting with the National League in the next 10 years.

Fleetwood and Burton perhaps the only ones who've not ended in disaster. AFC Wimbledon too although they obviously had a bigger fanbase to start from.

Salford City probably will join the fleetwood's and burtons of the world. Too much PR at risk on that one. ( plus they have one of the world's richest men as a silent partner)

I don't think Bracknell expect to be a Football League club, I think that is a step too far for them. If they could replicate Maidenhead they would be happy and I think that is realistic for them. Of course if they receive significant investment that could change but in the current model flirting with the National League should be their goal.

I last saw the plans about a year ago, very quiet on it now but nothing to suggest it's not happening.

Couldn’t go yesterday but another brilliant away victory away against a team flying high in their particular league.

We are now the only Hellenic League club left in the Vase.

Last 4 games, 4 wins, 4 clean sheets. Bringing in some lads from Egham (where our ex-assistant manger / player Ashley Smith has recently taken over as manager) has worked out very well as it coincides with this good run. None of them are obviously levels above us in any way, but they are solid and don’t make silly mistakes which is good enough for this level I suppose.

VERY surpising news just popped up on FB

Reading YMCA have decided to fold their first team with immediate effect.

Until this past Saturday, had not lost a league game for 3 years. I have been following their results closely and they seem to have had some severe disciplinary issues this season. I think something like 6 or 7 reds already and 15-odd yellows. They have already drawn 3 times i think this season so maybe it was a case if other teams catching them up? Great bunch of players that no doubt will find another team. Shame to see them go like that but there must be reasons.

The plans that have been put out to the public are of the original design and made the ground look more basic than it will be. One side of it will be completely seated and under cover whilst the rest of the ground is similar to their current one. Current ground will be sold to housing developers hopefully raising over £3.5 million.
